摘要
Raman and infra-red spectra of UCl2-6 and ThCl2-6 have been obtained from methyl cyanide solutions of their alkylammonium or alkylphosphonium salts. The fundamentals are assigned in terms of the molecular point group O h and their relation to vibrational progressions in the ultra-violet spectra is discussed. A force constant calculation indicates that UCl2-6 and ThCl2-6 have MCl bonds significantly stronger than those of PbCl2-6. The influence on the vibrational spectra of the incomplete {cauchy integral}-shell in UCl2-6 is also noted and discussed. © 1968.
