DISCRETIZATION TECHNIQUES APPLIED TO THE STUDY OF 2-PHOTON IONIZATION IN SYSTEMS WITH 2 ACTIVE ELECTRONS

摘要
We analyze a method based on discretized basis sets to calculate multiphoton ionization effects in two-electron systems. One-electron systems will serve as a benchmark; then the case of two-photon ionization of helium will be investigated. Emphasis will be placed on the role of correlations. Finally the choice of different type of basis sets (Slater-type orbitals, B-spline functions) will be discussed.
