EFFECT OF 6-SUBSTITUTED 1,3,5-TRIAZINE-2,4-DITHIOL ON THE ADHESION OF SBR TO COPPER PLATE

摘要
SBR was crosslinked by the reaction with dibenzothiazyl disulfide(DM) and 6-dibutylamino-1, 3, 5-triazine-2, 4-dithiol(DB) which is a highly reactive crosslinking agent. A similar crosslinked SBR containing triazinethiol pendants was obtained by the combined use of DB with trithiocyanuric acid (F) which is a less reactive crosslinking agent. The thiol pendent groups provided SBR with a strong bonding ability to copper plate through chelation during the crosslinking process. Thus, the SBR formulation as the following was hot-pressed on a copper plate to give a sample with peel strength of 11-12kg/cm at 180°C, 30min under 30kg/cm2. The formulation recommended is SBR 100, FEF carbon 50, stearic acid 1, ZnO 5, DM 3.3, F 3, and DB 1 (or DB 0.5 and sulfur 0.5)parts. © 1979, The Society of Polymer Science, Japan.
