摘要
Over the past twenty years, decision models have evolved for siting ambulances and fire companies. The early models assumed that, once positioned, ambulances or fire companies would almost always be available when a call arrived. The recognition that congestion can frequently make servers unavailable led to the development of redundant coverage models. Recently, a new set of models has been tested. These models place explicit constraints on the availability of service within the time standards. © 1991 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
