摘要
A big step forwards in nitrogenase research has been taken through the X-ray structure analysis work of Bolin et al. and more recently Rees et al. The well-substantiated structure proposed for the FeMo cofactors (see below) and the unusual ''P clusters'' (double cubanes incorporating Fe4S4 units) now challenge chemists to synthesize functional model complexes.(~)[GRAPHICS]
