Thermal stability, structural flexibility, and spatial proximity of the metal centers—these properties are required of binuclear porphyrin complexes, which are of interest in many areas of chemistry. These criteria governed the design of a porphyrin ligand connected via a flexible spacer to a 1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecyl moiety. Its metalation to give an FeIII‐CuII complex was accomplished under mild conditions and in high yield. The metal centers do not exhibit magnetic interactions. however. (Figure Presented.)
