摘要
The motion of a fluid column in a capillary is considered. In contrast with the theory of Washburn, Rideal, and Lucas, the velocity depends on the length of the liquid column. In our theory, the effect of the dynamic contact angle was accounted for by using an empirical equation proposed previously. Agreement between theory and experiment is excellent. © 1990, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
