摘要
We have determined the differential sticking coefficient for a monoenergetic beam of hydrogen on the (111), (110) and (100) surfaces of iron. The dependence on beam energy and angle of incidence has been investigated. Absolute values of conventional sticking coefficients (isotropic gas supply) at room temperature as well as absolute values for the saturation coverages have been obtained. Adsorption of H2/Fe is activated; on the (111) and (110) surfaces a nonactivated parallel path can be observed at low particle energies.
