摘要：

The feasibility of a pigtail type laser module entirely moulded in plastic is demonstrated from the viewpoint of reliability. Stable operation for this module is confirmed under various long-term aging tests, high humidity high temperature tests (85% humidity and 85 degrees C) and temperature cycling tests (-40 - 70 degrees C). This type of laser module is potentially suitable for low cost optical transmitters.
