摘要
The imaginary parts of the single-nucleon, particle-hole (phonon) and particle-particle (deuteron) mass operators are considered. Expressions of a Fermi golden rule form are derived for each case. Special emphasis is laid on many-body aspects and collectivity in the transition amplitudes. Implications for the calculation of optical potentials for nuclei are discussed.
