DISTRIBUTION OF HYPOTHALAMIC SITES YIELDING STIMULUS-BOUND BEHAVIOR

The anatomical location of hypothalamic electrode sites in the rat yielding eating, drinking, gnawing, and tail grooming are presented along with the distribution of sites yielding locomotor-exploratory behavior. The results are discussed in terms of current concepts of the anatomical organization of hypothalamic systems generally believed to be involved in the regulation of appetitive behavior. © 1969 S.
