摘要
The kinetic parameters of the non-isothermal decomposition of films of LDPE, i-PP and their blends of various compositions, irradiated with fast electrons in the dose range 5-16 Mrad, have been investigated by the TG and DTG methods. The DTG curves of the non-irradiated and irradiated films of the polymer blends are monomodal like those of the pure components. The initial decomposition temperature, the temperature of 50% weight loss, the degree of conversion at 450-degrees-C and the activating energy of decomposition of LDPE films do not depend on irradiation. The PP films irradiated with doses of 5-16 Mrad show low thermal stability. The kinetic parameters of non-isothermal decomposition of irradiated LDPE-i-PP films depend only slightly on their composition and are almost equal to those of i-PP films. It has been assumed that the low thermal stability of irradiated LDPE-i-PP films is due to an activation of part of the PP free radicals on heating.
