ATOMIC EFFECTS IN XUV SPECTRA OF SOLIDS

摘要
The extreme ultraviolet photoabsorption spectra of solids are sometimes dominated by purely atomic effects which manifest themselves in both the fine structure close to and in the gross structure well above thresholds for inner shell excitation. The variation of the relative intensities of structures in photoemission spectra as a function of photon energy can also be attributed to atomic-like effects. Recent experimental results of solid spectra reflecting this behaviour are presented; almost all were obtained using the attractive properties of synchrotron radiation. © 1979.
