THIN-LAYER GAS-CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC AND ALIPHATIC-HYDROCARBONS IN AIRBORNE PARTICULATE MATTER

摘要
An analytical method involving a single TLC separation of the cyclohexane-soluble fraction of airborne particulate matter into three polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon fractions and one aliphatic hydrocarbon fraction suitable for GLC analysis has been developed and applied. The method is simple, rapid, and suitable for routine analysis of these compounds in airborne particulate matter. The difficult-to-separate benzopyrene and benzofluoranthene isomers are completely resolved in the TLC separation. © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
