THERMODYNAMIC STABILITY OF LAGAO3 AND ITS COMPATIBILITY WITH YBA2CU3O7-X FOR SUBSTRATE APPLICATION

摘要
The standard Gibbs' energy of formation of LaGaO3 from constituent sesquioxides was determined to be delta-G-degrees(f,ox) (+0.34)/ kJ mol-1 = - 24.54 + 0.0049 T/ K, over the range 840 to 1105 K using CaF2 -based emf technique. The thermodynamic stability of LaGaO3 was compared with that of LaMo3 (M = Cr, Mn and Fe) and its application as a candidate substrate material for YBa2Cu3O7-x was examined along with other substrates, using the relevant Gibbs' energy data.
