摘要
The relationship between fructan metabolism and the fructan exohydrolase (FEH) activity of ryegrass was studied as a function of thermoperiod. Cold transfer from a 25/15 degrees C day/night regime to 5 degrees C induced the increase of leaf carbohydrate contents, whereas the FEH activity was quite stable. When replaced under initial conditions, the fructan content decreased rapidly, suggesting significant hydrolysis correlated with a 60% increase in FEH activity during the first 3 days.
