摘要
The a-LiFeO//2 rock salt material has been prepared from lithium carbonate and ferric oxide. It was found that the lithium can be exchanged for silver in silver nitrate and, initially, a substituted rock salt is produced, Ag//xLi//1// minus //xFeO//2. The ultimate phase in the ion-exchange process is a-AgFeO//2. The diffusion coefficient of Ag in Ag//xLiFeO//2, determined by transient electrochemical measurements, was found to be around 5 multiplied by 10** minus **8 cm** minus **2 s** minus **1.
