摘要
The influence of the adsorption of alkali halide molecules on the electrical conduction in discontinuous silver and platinum films was examined. It was found that the adsorption of alkali halide molecules caused an increase of the electrical conductance, whilst the activation energy did not change for both the silver and the platinum films. This suggests that the thermal activation process is probably determined by processes occurring inside the insulating substrate and does not depend on the potential barrier at the island-vacuum boundary. © 1979.
