OBSERVATION OF ANOMALOUS POSITIVE CORRELATION OF PRODUCT ROTATIONAL AND VIBRATIONAL-EXCITATION IN THE H+CD4-]HD(UPSILON', J')+CD3 REACTION

摘要
We report measurement of the rotational state distribution for the HD product of the H + CD4 --> HD(upsilon',J') + CD3 reaction at a collision energy of 1.5 eV. The rotational energy of the HD (upsilon' = 1) product, < E(rot) (upsilon' = 1) > = 0.173 +/- 0.016 eV, is significantly greater than the rotational energy of the HD (upsilon' = 0) product, < E(rot) (upsilon' = 0) > = 0.126 +/- 0.006 eV, indicating an unusual positive correlation of product rotational and vibrational excitation.
