PERCUS-YEVICK APPROXIMATION FOR TRUNCATED LENNARD-JONES (12 6) POTENTIAL APPLIED TO ARGON

摘要
The Percus-Yevick approximation is used in conjunction with a truncated Lennard-Jones 12-6 potential to predict the radial distribution function and thermodynamic properties of fluid argon. It is shown that the calculated distribution functions are in good agreement with the experimental data of Mikolaj and Pings, and that the calculated thermodynamic data are close to the experimental values given by Levelt.
