Specific activation induced in C, Al, S, In, cadmium-covered In as well as the effects on6Li and7Li thermcluminescent dosimeters were measured as a function of angle with respect to a well-collimated 3 GeV proton beam incident on iron and lead 3.18 cm long cubes. The results were analyzed and fitted with a formula of the form a exp [-bθ] +c with confidence limits greater than 99.9%. The value of b may be described by a power function of the threshold energy of the detector in question. © 1969 Società Italiana di Fisica.
