摘要
Convective heat transfer characteristics of four discs, each with a different surface configuration, have been experimentally studied. Water has been used as the test fluid and tests have been carried out for various flow rates and rotational speeds (250-890 r.p.m.). Average heat transfer coefficient as high as 16 kWm(-2) K-1 has been obtained and it has been shown that significant enhancements can be achieved by using grooved discs.
