摘要
Phenoxy-18O-acetic acid is metabolized by resting cells and cell-free extracts of an Arthrobacter sp. to phenol-18O. The complete conversion by intact cells and the quantitative retention of the 18O in the phenol demonstrates that the cleavage occurs between the aliphatic side chain and the ether-oxygen atom. © 1968, American Chemical Society.
