摘要
The authors have demonstrated the construction of stable, highly organized organic monolayers on gold electrodes. They have shown that monolayer barriers with improved blocking properties can be prepared by filling holes in a polymeric monolayer matrix with a suitable monomeric component. This mixed-monolayer approach appears to provide a satisfactory solution to the problem of obtaining efficient monolayer coverage of surfaces with a certain degree of roughness, as is the case in most real situations. Electrochemical techniques were shown to be particularly useful in the quantitative evaluation of the structural integrity of organized organic monolayers.
