摘要
Sera from 16 cases of T. glabrata infection were examined for antibody by immunoblotting against T. glabrata NCPF 3240. This revealed a key immunodominant antigen of 55 kDa which was conserved within the species. Antibody against this occurred in 11 of the 13 cases who survived. Two cases recovered without antibody production. The overall mortality of treated infection was 19%. Reverse passive latex agglutination for antigen was negative in 62·5% of cases. Infection produced no typical clinical picture and was associated with ketoconazole prophylaxis in 62·5% of patients. © 1990.
