摘要
Anguina funesta n. sp., which is associated with toxicity of annual ryegrass to animals, differs from other described species by the length of the post-vulval sac, the shape and size of the spicules and the presence of an accessory oesophageal bulb. Its natural host in South Australia is Lolium rigidum. It is associated with a yellow slime bacterium (Corynebacterium sp.) which it can acquire from liquid medium and inoculate to ryegrass plants. In the field the nematode is an essential vector of the bacterium which cannot penetrate by itself. The latter can be inoculated in vitro with a hypodermic syringe. © 1979 BRILL.
