摘要
A review is given of 1-3 piezoelectric composites. These composites contain piezoelectric ceramic rods in a polymer matrix. Such composites are produced with the aim of achieving a combination of piezoelectric and mechanical properties which would be useful in electromechanical transducing applications. The present review looks particularly at modelling of such materials, since an understanding of how the material achieves its properties is of great assistance in designing a composite for a specific application. High-frequency (> 0.5 MHz) applications are the main area of interest.
