摘要
The differential cross section for the elastic scattering of neutrons by deuterons was measured at neutron energies of 5.64, 7.01 and 9.04 MeV. The 2H(d, n)3He reaction was used as the source of neutrons; the scattering sample was a deuterated benzene scintillator coupled to a photomultiplier tube. Both the time of flight of the scattered neutron and the recoil energy deposited in the scatterer scintillator were measured by using fast coincidence techniques and a two-parameter computer analyser. The data were normalized to the n-p scattering cross section. The relative efficiency of the detector was determined by detecting the neutrons scattered from protons in a normal scintillator. © 1969.
