EFFECT OF ZR AND NB ADDITIONS ON THE MICROSTRUCTURE AND THE MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF MELT SPUN ND-FE-B AND ND-FE-CO-B

摘要
The coercivity, Hci, of rapidly quenched stoichiometric Nd2(Fe, Co)14B is limited by the absence of the Nd-rich intergranular phase and by the occurrence of residual α-Fe inclusions. However, a partial substitution of Fe by Zr or Nb increases Hci by a factor of up to 3, while the remanence, Jr, decreases. Nb, as well as Zr, partly dissolves in the tetragonal φ-phase and decreases the Curie temperature, Tc. As a result, the temperature dependence of Hci and Jr is not improved compared with Nd-rich Nd-Fe-B alloys. © 1990.
