摘要
Optical absorption and emission intensities are investigated for Er3+ ions in crystal KY(WO4)2. Oscillator strengths of transitions to all levels up to 350 nm were measured from absorption spectra recorded at room temperature- The Judd-Ofelt theory has been applied to the experimental data to obtain the intensity parameters: OMEGA-2 = 7.96 x 10(-20) cm2, OMEGA-4 = 2.31 x 10(-20) cm2, OMEGA-6 = 1.40 x 10(-20) cm2. The probabilities of the spontaneous electric and magnetic dipole transitions, radiative lifetimes, and branching ratios are thus calculated.
