摘要
Alanine aminopeptidase (ANAase) exists in the form of organ-specific isoenzymes, which are separated by agar gel electrophoresis. In normal serum only AN Aase-1 is present. Its increase is a specific and sensitive indication of intra- or extrahepatic cholestasis. There exists a statistically significant correlation between this isoenzyme and alkaline phosphatase. In pancreatic disease, ANAase-2 additionally can be demonstrated. Its diagnostic specificity and sensitivity are much higher than those of α-amylase. © 1969.
