摘要
In the preparation of 99mTc-labelled radiopharmaceuticals the use of tin chloride for the generation of 99mTc in the required valance state is very well known. The fact that the redox potential of Cu1+/Cu2+ system is of the same order as that of Sn2+/Sn4+ lead us to investigate in detail the use of cuprous ions as an alternative reducing agent for tin. An efficient and simple method using the induced cuprous ions in the preparation of 99mTcCuEDTA complex within a few minutes has been described. Gel chromatography column scanning technique (GCS) has been found to be a very useful tool for studying the fraction of 99mTc-pertechnetate, 99mTc-chelate and the reduced hydrolyzed-99mTc in the preparation. Biokinetic studies in rats showed a long-term retention of the complex in kidneys. © 1979.
