摘要
1. 1. Haloniscus searlei belongs to an almost exclusively terrestrial taxon but is truly aquatic in athalassic saline waters. 2. 2. It has a salinity range of about 1-160% and is a powerful osmoregulator. 3. 3. Above a salinity of about 19% it is hypo-osmotic with respect to the medium and below this value it is hyper-osmotic. 4. 4. Within a restricted salinity range, H. searlei is the equal of Artemia salina as a regulator. © 1969.
