摘要：

Some recent progress in the study of exotic atoms containing a strange particle (K-, Sigma(-) Xi(-)) and with a nucleus of Z > 2 is reviewed. Results from analyses of strong interaction effects in K- and Sigma(-) atoms in terms of the Optical Model are discussed with a particular emphasis on the use of density dependent potentials. Other topics, include the Xi(-) nucleus interaction, the possibility of observing X-rays from Xi(-) atoms, Xi(-) hypernuclei and the atomic cascade in Xi(-)d atoms.
