摘要
Four different samples of seed of the same seed lot but with different degrees of russet scab were compared in field trials to investigate the effect of russet scab on yield. Seed with more than one quarter of the surface area infected caused later emergence, a reduction in the number of stems per hill, a lower total yield, and changes in tuber size distribution compared with almost healthy seed. The frequency of russet scab on progeny tubers increased with increasing infection of the parent seed. © 1979 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
