CONFIGURATIONAL ENTROPY OF THE SI, AL DISTRIBUTION IN ZEOLITES

摘要
The configurational entropy of the Si, Al distribution in zeolites with the faujasite framework is calculated from earlier 29Si NMR results by the cluster -variation method of Kikuchi. From the experimental NMR data, a significant entropy decrease is found with respect to the model which includes only the AlAl pair avoidance. The degree of order of this cation distribution can thus be quantified and, according to the results obtained, may depend on the preparation method. © 1990.
