摘要
Measurements of Young's modulus (E) and magnetostrictive strain (lambda) as functions of the applied magnetic field have been made on a sample of Co-based amorphous-ribbon having weak negative magnetostriction; the sample had previously been flash annealed under tensile stress to induce transverse magnetic anisotropy. In order to study the distribution of induced anisotropy a new method based on the measurement of the second harmonic of the signal induced by a small ac excitation has been used. The data demonstrate internal consistency, confirming the value of such indirect measurements in understanding anisotropy and moment distribution.
