Slow beats in the spin echo envelope from14N NQR of symmetric hydrazide derivatives, diacetylhydrazine and diformylhydrazine, are reported. These echo envelope modulations are ascribed to the intramolecular magnetic dipole coupling between nitrogen nuclei. The principal Z axis of electric field gradient tensor directed along the normal to the molecular plane in diacetylhydrazine and that for diformylhydrazine was nearly parallel to the N-N bond in the molecular plane. © 1979, THE PHYSICAL SOCIETY OF JAPAN.
