摘要
HVEM investigations of polycrystalline copper have been carried out after heavy rolling and at the commencement of recrystallization. They revealed for the deformed state elongated microband clusters of orientation {100}〈001〉 and a 30-40° 〈111〉 orientation relationship with their neighbouring material. This result suggested a combined oriented nucleation/oriented growth model for the formation of cube texture in which is assumed that a successful cube nucleus will form in a local orientation distribution described as having a 30-40°-〈111〉 relation with its immediate neighbours. The global orientation distribution (i.e. that derived from conventional texture plots) becomes important only in the later stages of texture formation. Additionally, the HVEM observation yielded indications that cube components may also be generated by recrystallization twinning of the cube twin {221}〈212〉 which was found to form independently of cube in the deformed material. © 1990.
