摘要
Cellobiose phosphorylase from Clostridium thermocellum catalyzes the synthesis of six different disaccharides from α-d-glucose 1-phosphate and d-glucose, 2-deoxy-d-glucose, d-mannose, d-glucosamine, d-xylose, or d-arabinose. Structural studies indicate that thesedisaccharides are 4-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-d-glucose, 4-O-β-d-gluco-pyranosyl-2-deoxy-d-glucose, 4-O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-d-mannose, 4-O-β-d-gluco-pyranosyl-d-glucosamine, 4-O-β-glucopyranosyl -d-xylose, and 4 -O-β-d-glucopyranosyl-d-arabinose. Following electrophoresis on polyacrylamide gels, most of the enzyme activity was located in a single band, an indication that there is one major component which is active on each of the six different glucosyl acceptors. © 1968.
