摘要
Light of wavelength 360 nm is sufficient to form hydroxyl radicals from the bis-(hydroperoxide) 1 (R = CH2CH(OMe)OOH). Thus 1 is an attractive photo-Fenton reagent for biological applications. First experiments showed that 1 can cut double-stranded DNA selectively at the 5' site of 5'-GG-3' sequences.
