摘要
The action of 5% O2 on the switch of germinal cells from osteogenesis to chondrogenesis on chick embryo membrane bones in vitro has been studied. Pre-cartilage was produced by 25% of the membrane bones, the remainder continued to produce bone. The relationship of low oxygen concentration to mechanical stimulation in initiating cartilage formation was briefly discussed. © 1969.
