摘要
Equilibrium moisture content (e.m.c.) tests were conducted at 25-degrees-C for canola samples (Brassica napus L., cv. Westar) grown at different locations and in different years. The effects of different pretreatments (long-term compression stress, irradiation and drying/rewetting cycles) on the e.m.c. characteristics of canola and its hysteresis loop were also investigated. The difference in the e.m.c. between two adsorption samples harvested at different locations was approx. 0.9% dry basis (db) at the range of the storage moisture content. The canola e.m.c. behaviour was not affected by long-term compression stress or by irradiation with a 10 kGy dose.
