EFFECT OF SOURCE CORRELATION IN TRANSMISSION MEASUREMENTS

摘要
Experiments show that the transmitted flux through a glass sample depends on the degree of coherence of the incident light. The variation in its value is found to be about 6% when the coherence length of the incident light is reduced by the use of diffusers. These results are in qualitative agreement with the recent theoretical prediction of Wang and Wolf.
