摘要
The transient response of undamped non-linear spring mass systems subjected to a constant force excitation is investigated. Exact expressions are developed for the salient features of the response such as (i) the maximum displacement, (ii) the period of oscillation in terms of well-tabulated special functions. Two typical cases of non-linearities are considered, viz.: (i) single term polynomial restoring force, (ii) cubic restoring force. © 1969.
