摘要
The fresh fruit of California buckeye, Aesculus californica was separated into husk, seed coat an endosperm. The chemical analyses exhibited differences in each part. Arbutin was isolated only from the endosperm, (-)-epicatechin from the seed coat and saponins from the husk. Hydroquinone was found to be an artifact of arbutin origin.
