摘要
Zinc selenide crystals have been nucleated without seeding by a method which constricts a flow of saturated vapor species. Subsequent growth occurs in a temperature gradient. In this process, there is only one nucleation point; the crystal grows without mechanical constraint and volatile species are continuously exhausted. Single crystals weighing 25 grams, transparent greenish yellow to yellow in color, and with a resistivity of 1011 ohm-centimeters have been grown. © 1969.
