RADIATIVE LIFETIMES OF EXCITED ELECTRONIC STATES IN IONIC-SPECIES OF OXYGEN

摘要
The beam-foil technique has been used to measure lifetimes of excited electronic states in oxygen II through VI. The possibility of cascading from above affecting the measurements is discussed. Only the most intense multiplets and members thereof were observed in the range between 2000 and 5000. Where it is possible the lifetimes and some transition probabilities that may be extracted are compared with available calculations. A considerable number of transitions were untabulated and were identified through the use of a computer program. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
