摘要
The same laser technologies used to produce 3-D pictures can also be employed to capture and re-create digital information. Today, holographic computer memories can already store almost a billion bytes in the volume of a sugar cube and allowing the data to be accessed 10 times faster than from today's compact-disc systems. As illustrated in this article, both of these are being made possible by the advances in optoelectronics.
