摘要
The solubility of methylparaben was determined at 25° in a series of amide‐water cosolvent systems. The data were used to demonstrate the possibility of an amide excess at or near the ester solute over that in the bulk solvent. The analysis, stemming from an interfacial tension‐solute area solubility model proposed by earlier workers, involved data obtained as a function of amide concentration and as a function of amide alkylation.
